An indecent assault charge has been dropped against Alan Jones; it is the fourth time a charge has been dropped or downgraded since 2025.
The charge related to a reporter who alleged Mr Jones touched him indecently in public.
The criminal trial has so far heard from three alleged victims, with a fourth scheduled to begin their evidence on Tuesday.
Prosecutors have dropped another indecent assault charge against broadcaster Alan Jones, reducing the number of complainants midway through his lengthy criminal trial.
Mr Jones, 85, had pleaded not guilty to 20 counts of indecent assault and two of sexual touching in relation to six men, three of which have already given evidence in the NSW Local Court trial.
Prosecutors told the court on Monday they would no longer press one count of indecent assault in relation to Complainant F: a reporter who alleged Mr Jones touched him indecently in public.
The court has previously heard Complainant F was a younger man, working as a reporter, who alleged Mr Jones "touched and squeezed" his backside at a function in 2012.
It means Complainant F will no longer be part of the trial.
No reason was given in court for the decision to drop the charge.
It is the fourth time charges have been dropped or downgraded since September 2025, when the former 2GB host faced 44 counts relating to 11 complainants.
Mr Jones now faces 21 charges in relation to five male complainants, with alleged offences ranging between 2003 and 2020.
Three of the alleged victims have now completed their evidence, with dozens of witnesses also called in the trial.
Two of the men, a former emerging athlete known as Complainant J, and a former colleague of Mr Jones's known as Complainant C, told the court they were scared to speak up at the time of the alleged offending, because of his influence and power.
The prosecution has argued Mr Jones tended to act on a sexual interest in younger men.
But Mr Jones's lawyers have told the court the case is about "media rivalry", and have blamed their client's 2GB stablemate Ray Hadley for colluding with others to bring about complaints to "destroy" Mr Jones.
The fourth complainant, Complainant H, is due to begin their evidence on Tuesday.
That man, who is decades younger than Mr Jones, alleged the broadcaster slid his hand down his back and across his backside at an event.
The prosecution said the man did not initially complain to police, but reached out to Sydney Morning Herald journalist Kate McClymont when she first published other allegations against Mr Jones in 2023.
