Subscribing starts by signing in: we email you a six-digit code, and there is no password. Prices in Australian dollars and include GST.

What leaves your browser

Articles are scored inside your browser, and the text never leaves it. The extension counts the articles it scores each week on your device. After 7, it asks our server one question: is this account subscribed? It sends a sign-in token and nothing else: not the page, not its address, not the count. A connected browser also asks at least once a week, so Settings can show when each of your browsers was last used.

To show the readings we publish for an article, it looks the article up by fingerprint rather than by address: it sends the first four characters of a fingerprint of the page's address, shared by one address in every 65,536, and picks the match in your browser. The address never leaves it.

Connecting

Install the extension, sign in here, then open Connect the extension in the same browser. A subscription is for one person, in up to three browsers at a time: connecting another disconnects the one used least recently, and Settings lists them all.
