A man in his 80s has died in hospital after after being found with life-threatening injuries in his home in Surat, about 450km west of Brisbane.
Police have established two crime scenes and are treating the man's death as suspicious.

Police have established two crime scenes in a regional Queensland town as part of an investigation into the "sudden" death of a man aged in his 80s.
Emergency services were called to a property on Ivan Street in Surat, 80 kilometres south of Roma and 450 kilometres west of Brisbane, at about 3:40pm on Thursday.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said paramedics were initially called to a "medical episode" at the residential property.
When they arrived, they found a man with life-threatening injuries.
He was taken to the Surat Hospital, where he later died.
The Queensland Police Service (QPS) said two crime scenes had since been declared at a unit and at a nearby vehicle.
Police said the man's "sudden" death was being treated as suspicious and investigations were ongoing.
A QPS spokesperson said there was no ongoing threat to the public.
Anyone with information that could assist the investigation is being urged to contact police.
Surat has a population of about 400 people, according to the 2021 census.
