Two motorcyclists have died in separate crashes in Queensland within hours of each other.
A 71-year-old Redbank Plains woman was killed when her motorcycle and a Mitsubishi Outlander collided at Greenbank, south-west of Brisbane on Friday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the Centenary Highway just after 1:30pm.
The rider of the Honda CMX500A motorcycle sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.
The four people travelling in the Mitsubishi, including a 41-year-old woman, a 20-year-old woman and a 14-year-old girl, were not physically injured.
Hours later, another motorcyclist was killed after losing control in Brookwater.
The 43-year-old, also from Redbank Plains, was riding a Harley-Davidson along Augusta Parkway about 11.50pm when he crashed near the roundabout at Leon Capra Drive.
He suffered critical injuries and was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Police are investigating what led to both fatal incidents, with the Forensic Crash Unit examining the sites.
Police are appealing for witnesses of either incident to come forward, anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage that may assist the investigations.
